Based on the research carried out into look books, and the aesthetic I envision for the publication, I began by sketching out some initial ideas plotting placement of type and image.
I quite liked the idea of using overlapping imagery/type and hand rendered type throughout relating to the logo, tone of voice audience and concept. I felt this would also combine a mixture of traditional and contemporary aesthetics. From this I then went onto experimenting with these digitally using the imagery sourced which I would be using to reinforce the brand, its values and its heritage. 3 different layouts were experimented with, and shown as PDFs below. I felt that the 3rd layout shown was the more appropriate to move forward and work with in regards to type.
